Les Bains de la Gare

Les Bains de la Gare was a team project with Wen Lee Soo, under the tutelage of Carlo Carbone. The assignment was to create a public bath house-cum-community centre out of one of three materials (wood, stone or copper). A charette was run between teams based on material to find an appropriate site, respecting the material and basic criteria of the project. The site chosen for wood (the material my team worked on) was a derelict site along an abandoned train parking lot. With various studies on the material, the meaning of the public bath as a social incubator and the site, we produced Les Bains de la Gare.
